Summit was truly great to work with! Friendly, prompt, and loaded with expertise at a very reasonable price. Plus the work was completed efficiently and with such expediency. Big highlight to Shawn through this whole process especially; but shoutouts to Tim and Kyle on the team too!

On 3/30/2026 JV Romanelli had this to say:
I had a phenomenal experience working with Summit Radon Mitigations, LLC from start to finish. From the initial quote and consultation, it was clear they really knew what they were doing and took the time to explain the strategy behind the mitigation plan. The pricing was very fair, especially considering the level of service provided. The installation itself was seamless. They showed up on time, were extremely professional, and made sure everything was done right. They also left the space spotless, which does not always happen with contractors. What really stood out was the follow up. They handled the retest process and made sure everything was performing as expected, which gave me a lot of confidence in the work. Overall, exceptional service across the board. If you need radon mitigation, I would highly recommend them without hesitation.

🌧️ Did you know spring weather can affect radon levels in your home?
Heavy rain and saturated soil can push radon gas up from the ground and into basements and crawl spaces, often causing levels to rise this time of year. Spring is a smart season to test—especially after prolonged rain.
Summit Radon Mitigations, LLC is here to help protect your home and your air quality.

🔧 Spring is a great time to check your radon mitigation system!
Take a quick look at the manometer (the small gauge with blue liquid). If the liquid is uneven, your system is running properly. If the levels are even or look off, it may be time for a professional check.
Not sure what you’re seeing? Summit Radon Mitigations, LLC is always happy to help keep your system working as it should.

FAQ

What areas do you serve?
We serve a 60 mile radius, covering all of the Northwest Chicago suburbs. Inlcuding but not limited to Oaklawn, Homewood, Flossmoor, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Lamont, Lockport, Manhattan, New Lenox, Frankfort, Peotone, Manteno, Bourbonnais, Bradley, Kankakee, Beecher, Lisle, Woodridge, Darion, Naperville, Aurora, Plainfield, Shorewood, Joliet, Mokena.
What do you have to do to install the radon system?
We have to core through the basement floor, dig out approximately 10 gallons of gravel or dirt, to create a suction pit to draft air. From that point we run piping from the suction pit to the exterior of the house and then run electrical for the radon fan to be installed onto the piping. We run PVC Piping all the way up the gutter line so the gases are pumped safely out to the exterior of the home.
Why does the crawl space have to get encapsulated?
When it comes to dirt or gravel, air escapes from the crawl space easily, that contains the radon gases. The point is to encapsulate the gases to pump them from inside to outside of the houses. This also helps to eliminate odors/smells.
Is the radon fan noisy? Can you hear it inside of your home?
No, not typically. The fan/system runs quietly.
Is my house safe with radon gases underneath it?
As long as the mitigation is installed and working properly, it is safely extracting the gases from the house to the exterior which removes an hazards that may be associated with it.
